A Texas love story in the heart of the Highlands
A Glencoe wedding photography adventure
When love knows no borders, it finds its way to the most magical places and for Aime and Nate, that place was Glencoe, Scotland.
This adventurous couple from Texas had always dreamed of something different for their wedding memories. Instead of the traditional hometown ceremony, they chose to honour their love with an elopement-inspired wedding photography session in the rugged, cinematic beauty of the Scottish Highlands. And I had the absolute joy of being their photographer.
Let the sky fall
From the Lone Star State to the Land of Lochs and Legends
Aime and Nate reached out to me with a vision that was romantic, free-spirited, and full of adventure. “We want mountains, waterfalls, and moody skies,” they said, and Glencoe delivered it all and more. Both are athletic, full of fun and adventure and helped me steady my balance across a landscape that’s so beautiful and makes you work to enjoy every single minute.
We spent the day chasing light across one of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. The Three Sisters stood tall behind them, the waterfall didn’t disappoint and they stomped through the heather in matching Converse loving every minute.!
Waterfalls and Wild Moments
One of the most peaceful parts of the day was spent beside a hidden waterfall. Aime hiked up in her white dress and Converse, Nate never far behind her, always reaching for her hand or cracking a joke. It was the kind of relaxed, heartfelt moment you can’t plan, you need to feel it and be ready to capture it.

A scene from Skyfall
Later in the day, we made our way down the winding road of Glen Etive, where the landscape opened into something straight out of a film. (literally, Skyfall was filmed here!).
They stood together in the vastness, surrounded by wild hills and distant deer, and it felt like something ancient and sacred. Every frame we shot had that timeless, cinematic energy that only the Scottish Highlands can give.

Converse, commitment, and the call of the Highlands
Their choice to wear Converse wasn’t just about comfort, it was a statement. Aime and Nate showed up exactly as themselves: playful, and stylish. They met and bonded over their love of the brand and brought that style to Glencoe.
If you're planning a destination wedding or elopement and dream of something more than the ordinary something full of story, soul, and scenery then Glencoe might just be calling you too.
