A career behind the lens
Photography has taken me to some extraordinary places, introduced me to remarkable people and given me the opportunity to tell stories that matter.
My professional photography journey began in 2013, with my first paid assignment photographing a First Communion.
From there, my studio welcomed families, entertainers, babies, teenagers and just about every personality in between.
In 2015, weddings became part of that journey, opening the door to a whole new world of storytelling.
Since then, my camera has taken me from intimate wedding celebrations to major charity events, television productions and editorial features.
Over the years, my photographs have appeared in publications, supported charitable organisations and documented everything from personal milestones to events involving some very familiar faces.
And while weddings remain a huge part of what I do, they've never been the whole story.
Awards & Recognition
The Wedding Industry Awards | 2026
Regional Finalist – Wedding Photographer of the Year, Scotland
In 2026, I was recognised as a regional finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards.
Being shortlisted alongside some of Scotland's talented wedding photographers was a significant milestone in a photography career that began in 2013.
It was also a reminder of something important.
There's always room to grow, to challenge yourself and to see just how far your photography can take you.
Published & Featured
My photography has appeared in a range of publications and media outlets, including:
Your Scottish Wedding
Wedding photography featured in the magazine, including editorial coverage of real Scottish weddings.
To Have & To Hold
Wedding photography published in the magazine.
No. 1 Magazine
Photography featured through the magazine's social media channels.
BBC ALBA
Photography from Parkinson's-related events used in television coverage.
Each appearance represents another opportunity to tell a story through photographs and share those moments with a wider audience.
Beyond Weddings
Different stories. Same photographer.
My work has never been confined to one genre.
I've photographed comedian Billy Connolly in connection with Parkinson's UK, captured Paddy McGuinness at the Kiltwalk and documented a five-day charity cycling challenge from Chessington to Paris.
Closer to home, I've worked with organisations and events including WaterAid, Callum's Cabin, Baby Loss Retreat, Party at the Palace and community groups across Lanarkshire.
From the energy of a live event to the quiet moments behind a charity campaign, every assignment brings something different.
What connects them is my approach.
An eye for the moments that matter, an instinct for storytelling and a belief that photography should capture something real.
The Story Continues
More than a decade after picking up my camera professionally, I'm still curious about what comes next.
I'm continuing to explore editorial, portrait and documentary photography alongside my wedding work, developing new projects and looking for fresh opportunities to tell stories through images.
Because there's always another story worth photographing.
